• Enrich himself and his family, to burnish his reputation as a business leader and negotiator; and to improve the financial interests of his hotels, golf resorts, other properties, and licensing contracts as well as the business ventures of his children;

• Reshape America to his will using his vast political clout and personal influence;

• Bolster his standing with White nationalists by using the forum of his presidency to denigrate ethnic and religious minorities through inflammatory rhetoric that spread lies, fear, and hostility;

• Prohibit Latinos and Muslims from immigrating to the US through a dedicated program of xenophobia that included enacting harsh immigration enforcement policies, building a southern border wall, banning citizens of Muslim-majority countries, and proselytizing America with hate speech ridden with racist slurs and baseless allegations to justify these actions;

• End DACA to ensure the children of undocumented immigrants never achieve US citizenship;

• Devalue Black Americans by supporting both Confederate history and White supremacist groups, showing no sympathy to Black victims of police violence, and declaring Black Lives Matter protesters thugs, terrorists, and anarchists;  

• Push a white supremacist conservative Christian agenda to turn America into a homogeneous theocracy;

• Brag about his “intelligence” and shamelessly self-promote himself as the “greatest of all presidents;”

• Lead the Republican Party as President-for-Life and kingmaker;

• Organize, mobilize, and radicalize his base of embittered, far-right conservatives;

• Defeat and humiliate Hillary Clinton;

• Overturn everything achieved by Barack Obama, especially the Affordable Care Act;

• Win a Nobel Peace Prize;

• Gain protection from potential criminal and civil lawsuits;

• Receive persistent admiration and applause; 

• Secure his legacy in history.
